VBA add-in seems disabled

I saved and closed a file which was using VBA code and forms I created. Shortly afterwards I reopened the file and now the Developer tab is still available but the VBA icon is greyed out. I've confir...

    Thanks for the help. In the end (6 hours later) I finally got Office uninstalled and reinstalled. Several installation attempts terminated with an error. It appears to be working now.
