Updating Data Source Causing Table to Disapear

Hello,
why would you "change the data source" when you add new data to the pivot source? If you store the source data in an Excel table object, you can point the pivot table to the table name as the data source. Then after adding new data to the table, just refresh the pivot table.
If that is not working for you, please post a sample file with dummy data and explain in context.
