Unable to connect error, Query other workbook table

Hello,

I am refreshing data from a table in a separate workbook located in the same folder on a SharePoint site through a power query editor, query.

I have closed the source file and tried to connect and waited and tried again. The error message reads,

This has been an issue numerous times lately and to deal with this I have shut down all excel files and restarted, but this is impractical.  I think it has something to do with SharePoint syncing, I have updated windows recently as this can play havoc with SharePoint syncing.

Does anyone have any ideas?

  • So I found a solution, I change the source path to point to the web version rather than the synced pc version. I used this youtube video 4 minutes long, very easy,

To access for the table for the first time I duplicated another connection which I had changed to web source then changed the web path in the Source step and the table name in the Navigation step.
