Trendline on excel graph

Hi everyone,

Sorry I am not great at excel... I need to put a trendline on this graph but the line goes below the x-axis - how do I stop this (see attachment)? There are no values in the negative so unsure why it is doing this! I can change the y-axis to stop at zero but the line disappears and then reappears again so you can see that I have just taken it off (and that it has gone below the line).

Can anyone help? I would just like a steady curve to show the deviation towards the right!

Many many thanks!

Abi

  • Hello,

maybe you're using the wrong type of trendline. Which one did you apply? I created a chart with your columns, but I cannot get your trendline to show.

What trend do you want to show? This is a histogram already, so a trendline does not really make sense.

      Thank you for your reply.

I need to create a bell-like curve on it so I used the polynomial. I can use the moving average one as well but then the line does not look smooth.

I need the curve to show that the data has all shifted towards the right (positive values).

      Many thanks,

      Abi
