Time Split
Hi all does anyone know if its possible to put in a start and finish time say 0430 till 0830 and have it split at say 6 am so it will put 1.5 hours in one cell and 2.5 into another?
We have just had our pay rates altered for different parts of the day 7pm to 6am then 6am to 7pm. would like to incorporate a formula that will do it for me.

Hi Bill,
Time in Excel is just a number, 01:00 is equal to 1/24. If you put your 6am value in some cell, E1 in sample, the formula will be like
First part of it is to make correction for overnight shift.
