Excel stores times as numbers, to be more precise as fractions of 1 day = 24 hours. so for example 6:00 am is stored as 6/24 = 0.25.
If you enter 6 in a cell, it is interpreted as 6 days, not as 6 hours.
You must enter the time as 6:00 (or as 6:0, that will be accepted too)
