SUMIF function returning error message
I'm trying to use the function with the following formula:
=SUMIF(B2:B10,"Tanken",C2:C10)
I keep getting the, "There's a problem with this formula", error message.
When I close the message, the formula is highlighted from B10 through C2.
I have no idea why. According to every tutorial I have watched, the format is correct.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Danke für die Hilfe. Ich bin zwar in Deutschland, aber die Sprache des OSes und die Sprache excels sind Englisch. Ich habe trotzdem die übersetzten Formel probiert. Dann bekame ich ein Invalid Name Fehler.
Ich habe dann den Name geändert zurück auf , 'sumif', habe aber die zwei Semicolon gelassen.
=SUMIF(B2:B10;"Tanken";C2:C10)
Jetzt bekomme ich kein ´Fehlermeldung mehr, das ergebnis is aber 0.
- I got it to work by changing the colons to semicolons, and adding an asterisk before and after the word Tanken, inside the double quotation marks, as follows:
=SUMIF(B2:B10;"*Tanken*";C2:C10)
I thought it would return the sum of the cells that contained the word Tanken in the criterion cells, even if the word, Tanken, was not the only word in the cell.
