Slicer vs Filter

Hello All, I would like to use a slicer for a date field to use the way the the filter summarizes/collapses individual days into months. The slicer is not valuable the way it lists each individual ...

    Hi Joel,

     

    Excel doesn't allow to group within the slicer. The workaround could be to create one more helper column for the parent slicer, like this

    Here is the slicer with the helper column. 😊

      Joel, you are welcome. In general you may hide column A, it changes nothing in slicer behaviour.
