Share cell data between workbooks

Hi, 

 

I have been searching on the internet to a solution to this, but until now I have fallen short on an answer, so would really appreciate some assistance. 

 

Can and how do you share cell data between workbooks with excel. I can find a lot of information regarding desktop excel here, https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/create-an-external-reference-link-to-a-cell-range-in-another-workbook-c98d1803-dd75-4668-ac6a-d7cca2a9b95f, but nothing on excel online.

    Its quite simple sir, but one thing you have to keep in mind that the excel files you want to linked should be saved FIRST in a specific location (ie in a FOLDER) 

    keep open the excel files and start with "=" parameter

    and now are able to link. gcooke75
