Searching in Filter Excel Online

One difference between Excel Desktop and Excel Online is the ability to search filters quickly to narrow down options.

The Desktop search function is very useful for our team to quickly narrow down results that have similar keywords. While the filter by 'Contains' can be used in Excel online, it does not narrow down the list in the Filter box (unticked items are still displayed). This is problematic when trying to filter down values that share keywords with many other values.

Is there a way to search in the filter box in Excel Online? If not, will similar search functionality be added in the future.
