It's not totally clear what you are wanting your "search" sheet to display, but let me refer you to the FILTER function. Here is a web page that explains it. Here's a YouTube video that explains it.
If that doesn't work for you, perhaps you could come back with a more complete description of the need and why FILTER didn't work.
