Net servicing Ratio - Maximum borrowing figure

Hi,

I looking to work out the Maximum Purchasing Price for a client who with current figures fails the NSR (Net Servicing Ratio) test of 95% or less.

The Net Servicing Ratio is worked out at follows:

Net income - Total living expenses - then the couple total loans are divided by the answer of Net Income - Total living expenses.

So this I have successfully done, however what I cannot work out is how to work out the maximum Lend given the clients situation when the NSR is higher than 95% (which is a fail in the lending world). In other words given the clients Statement of Position what is the maximum they can lend with a 95% NSR??

Can anybody help?

Cheers Scott
