microsoft permission for a folder

Hello, Using Excel for Mac 16.24. I have a simple excel document that I am trying to save to a standard folder. Been doing this for 15+ years. Today it states "Additional permission required to access the following files: Then it states my desktop folder I'm trying to save in. When I hit "grant access", the following appears followed by other alerts.

Your changes could not be saved to '07092019.xlsx' because of a sharing violation. Try saving to a different file.

Can you please help?

    Did you get anywhere with this? I've having a similar problem with OneDrive
