Don9of11 For the number in the Notes in the document, you could use a cross reference to the number assigned to each name. If that is done, when you update the fields in the document, the cross references will be updated to reflect the changes in the list of names. The numbering of the list of names would need to make use of Word's numbering facility so that the numbers would be available for cross referencing.
