Limiting the extent of the x-axis on a chart

I am placing data into an Excel spreadsheet to track blood pressure. When I chart (graph) the data the plot goes back to January even though the data I have selected for charting only goes as far back as June. This leads to a lower data resolution for the actual data I want to represent.
