Installed "MySQL connector/Net 6.10.4" but don't see Excel 2016 menu selection "from MySQL Database"
Hi everybody,
i'm new with Excel 2016 database connection while i came from Excel 2010..
I would to use MySql database connection like it describes here:
https://support.office.com/it-it/article/Connettersi-a-un-database-MySQL-Power-Query-8760c647-88b9-409d-b312-6ea8f84a269b?ui=it-IT&rs=it-IT&ad=IT#ID0EAAEAAA=2016
so i have downloaded and install the MySQL connector/Net 6.10.4 like it requests but in my Excel 2016, following menu data > get data > from Database, i still don't see "From MySQL Database" menu.
Does anybody know why i don't see "From MySQL Database" menu added to "from Database" list? I can only see "from databe Sql Server"; "from database Microsoft Access" and so go on but not the "From MySQL Database"..

Sorry. I have the same issue and I read the responses. But couldn't quite understand the solution. Could you please explain how I can solve this issue?
- Andy FreiCopper ContributorWhat Office version do you have?
It only works if you have Professional Plus, Office 365 ProPlus or Excel Standalone.
