HP filter in Excel
whenever I apply HP function in Excel over a certain range to compute trend component of a log series, why do I get invalid in all cells as a result rather than numbers? Even though, I go by the methods of applying this formula appropriately.

HP is not a built-in function in the English version of Excel. Which function do you mean?
Could you attach a small sample workbook demonstrating the problem (without sensitive data), or if that is not possible, make it available through OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar?
