How to get form submissions from my website automatically into Excel?
Yes, Power Automate can write submissions into Excel, but the tricky part is getting them out of Fluent Forms automatically.
The usual setup is:
- Store the workbook in OneDrive for Business or SharePoint, and format the destination range as an Excel Table with your form’s column headings. You can still open that workbook in desktop Excel.
- Send each form submission to Power Automate through a webhook.
- Use Excel Online (Business) > Add a row into a table to map the submitted fields into the spreadsheet.
The catch is cost: Fluent Forms’ webhook integration is generally a Pro feature, and Power Automate’s incoming HTTP trigger generally requires Premium licensing. So this isn’t necessarily a free connection, even if you already have Excel.
If keeping Fluent Forms Free is essential, first check Fluent Forms > Entries. If your submissions are stored there, exporting them as CSV and opening that in Excel is the simplest no-extra-cost fallback, though it isn’t automatic. Automatic delivery without the paid integration would need custom WordPress code or another connector.
Also, keep storing submissions in WordPress as a backup. A spreadsheet connection can fail too, and fixing WordPress mail delivery through a properly configured SMTP service is still worthwhile.
