How to connect SQL server to Excel in Office 365
Hi Jan, thank you for responding.
I'm trying to connect an Excel spreadsheet to an external MySQL database with details below:
Hostname (port no): | 176.32.230.48 |
Database: | cl59-UKHA |
I hope that helps.

Hi Jan,
I tried installing another connector Microsoft recommended, but that hasn't helped at all. I just installed the one you recommended. What would be the next step?

If you want to use the old Microsoft Query, read this article:

Dear Jan,
Thank you very much for your kind reply. I already followed those steps, but nothing has changed. It's also worth to mention that the version of https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=278885 which is suggested there, is a very old one and not even available any longer.
I can't believe how difficult and complicated it seems to connect SQ to Excel. I'm not sure what to do next to be honest. I tried calling Microsoft, but they asked for £199 to get help.
