Can you please describe in more detail what it is you are trying to do? For instance, are you trying to create a linked table in MS Access linking to a table (or query) in a MySQL database?

I'm trying to connect an Excel spreadsheet to an external MySQL database with details below:
Hostname (port no): 176.32.230.48 Database: cl59-UKHA I hope that helps.

- Do you have the MySQL ODBC driver installed (and the correct version for your OS and for the version of MySQL)? There appears to be one here: https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/5.3.html

I tried installing another connector Microsoft recommended, but that hasn't helped at all. I just installed the one you recommended. What would be the next step?
