how do I stop all my excel files from being saved to the OneDrive

Thank you for all this information but when I go to File and Options the only thing that is showing in Options is "Regional Format Settings". I just need the OneDrive to stop changing my Excel files every time I open one! This is very frustrating. Thanks for your help but I do not have the tabs and locations you are speaking of.
Apparently you are using Excel Online (the browser version).
Try starting the desktop version of Excel (the locally installed version), and opening your workbooks from within the desktop version.
How do I get to the desktop version?
For example:
- Click the Start button or press the Windows key.
- Type Excel
- The desktop version of Excel should be the first search result.
- There should also be a shortcut in Start > All apps.
- It goes straight to the OneDrive version.
