How do I check if my licence is up to date
It says error when I click update licence. I'm trying to follow an Excel course and I can't right click and add Axis, or add boxes. There is no box on the left with + sign to add Legend, add, etc...

If you're experiencing limitations in Excel on your Mac, such as being unable to access certain features like adding axes or legends to charts, it's possible that your version of Excel may not have those features or that there could be a licensing issue preventing full functionality. Here's what you can do:
- Check Excel Version: Verify which version of Excel you're using on your Mac. You can do this by opening Excel, clicking on "Excel" in the menu bar, and selecting "About Excel." This will show you the version number.
- Verify License Status: To check if your license is up to date, you can sign in to your Microsoft account associated with Office 365 or Microsoft 365 subscription. If you're not sure about your license status or if there's an error when you try to update the license, you may need to contact Microsoft support for assistance.
- Update Office: Ensure that you have the latest updates installed for Microsoft Office on your Mac. You can do this by opening any Office application (such as Word or Excel), clicking on "Help" in the menu bar, and selecting "Check for Updates." Follow the prompts to download and install any available updates.
- Check Feature Availability: Not all versions of Excel for Mac may have the same features as the Windows version. Some features may be limited or not available on older versions. You can check the Microsoft website or product documentation to see a list of features available in your version of Excel.
- Consider Subscription: If you're using an older version of Excel that doesn't have the features you need, consider upgrading to a subscription-based version like Microsoft 365. Subscriptions usually provide access to the latest features and updates.
- Explore Alternatives: If upgrading Excel is not an option, consider using alternative charting tools or software that may better suit your needs and offer the features you require.
- Contact Microsoft Support: If you're still experiencing issues or limitations after checking your license and updating Office, reach out to Microsoft support for further assistance. They can help troubleshoot the problem and provide guidance on resolving any licensing issues.
By following these steps, you should be able to determine the status of your Excel license, update your software if necessary, and troubleshoot any limitations or errors you encounter. The text was created with the help of AI.
