Formulas in hidden cells

Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to excel and I'm really hoping someone can help before I go completely bald haha.

I'm trying to set up a fees spreadsheet as a favour for a local charity run kids club, and after a lot of hours of trial and error, and many hours pouring over tutorials, I have managed to set up a fairly satisfying spreadsheet. I am however, encountering one very frustrating problem, and I'm struggling to find a solution on my own.

My first two columns are surname and first name, which I require to be in alphabetical order. I have set up a macro to be used for this task, whenever a new child has to be added to the list. It sorts 'a to z' by first name, then 'a to z' by surname. As the spreadsheet contains other data, I chose to 'expand selection'. I thought I'd cracked it as it seemed to be working fine, however, I realised that the 'expand selection' had not included the formulas in hidden cells, resulting in the fees being attributed to the wrong children.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, not only by myself, but by everyone connected with the kids club too.

It would be helpful if you could provide more information on how the data is set up in your spreadsheet.  Perhaps a non-sensitive mockup of your data set could help the community to better understand your dilemma.  In addition it would also help to see what the VBA code looks like in the macro your using.  The issue seems simple enough but it always helps to have a good example for testing and further reference.
