Formula based on text cell content

Hey guys,

I have a have a range of cells that may be blank contain one of two text options: done or ongoing.

I need another cell to show ongoing if any cell has the ongoing text, to show done if ALL cells contain done and to remain blank if all cells are blank.

I have used =IF(COUNTIF(RANGE, "ongoing"),"ongoing","done")

But this doesn't do the work as when every cell is blank it returns done as well.

Any suggestions on having a blank result when all is blank?
