file name length in embedded links to a file

Hi, new here!

I use Excel for project management, and embed links to a project file in a spreadsheet. Clicking such a link will open the app associated with the project file and I then can edit that file.  The command sequence is Insert|Object|Create from file. 

The problem is that I use long descriptive file names and the embedded object in the spreadsheet displays a limited string length, cutting off part of the file name. The embedded object (called a 'package') can be increased in size by dragging a handle but that also increases the font size so doesn't help.

Is there an option to change the string length displayed in an embedded object/link?
