Excel wont start

I have installed office 365 on an imac running ios 15.3.1 Sequoia, word opens perfectly and works great but excel will not open, it just crashes on startup and never opens. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no success. Can anyone provide advice?

    Any chance to try this yet?

     

    • Clear Excel Preferences:
      • Quit all Microsoft Office apps.
      • Navigate to ~/Library/Preferences (press Command + Shift + G in Finder and type this path).
      • Look for files like com.microsoft.Excel.plist and move them to the Trash. Restart Excel to see if it works.
    • Remove Cached Files:
      • Go to ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Excel and delete this folder to clear any corrupt cache files.
