Excel iOS app not autosaving and freezing.

Same issue here on the Iphone.  Data is entered but it is not retained.  Have lost numerous days of data from this issue.  

Having the same issue on the iPhone.  Data appears to be entered in a sheet then on reopening the file most of the data is gone.  The app is unusable for recording data away from the desktop.  

Same and also freeze with locally saved files on iPad.

At my workplace this is essentially a full work stoppage. I have tried with small, large, old, and new workbooks. I have tried saving locally, I have done the App Settings > Reset Excel troubleshoot, I have uninstalled and re-installed the app, I've done a software update, I have even now been issued a brand new device, and the saving/hung app issue continues. This is an ongoing issue over the last 11 days at least. This is affecting iOS users globally at the end of a fiscal quarter. This is a major issue and should be publicly addressed. Microsoft should be updating users on progress toward a resolution, at the very least in the App Version notes in the App Store.

This is happening to me almost every time I open a workbook using iOS excel. The app is always up to date. I’m mostly opening large files, but it still happens with smaller sizes. 
It’s pretty horrible to do a significant amount of work and then find out you lost it all bc it is hung up when saving/closing.
whatever you do, don’t turn off autosave because you at least have a chance to retain your work. I don’t like using autosave but I’ve had to recently.

Either way this has just about stopped me completely being able to use excel.

Having same problem. If you make a couple of quick edits and close it right away, it saves it. But if you’re spending more than a few minutes editing a file, it hangs and won’t auto save everything you’ve done. Have to close the app and reopen to access again.  It may save a few edits but not all or most of them. On a spreadsheet there is a little group type icon by the cell that it stopped saving edits at. If you open and reclose the file right away to auto save, that icon goes away. In order to use it you have to keep shutting and reopening the file every few edits, which is really annoying. 

Same issue for iPhone+iPad... no issues for 1of10 files but no luck with anything else.

Yes and it's driving me crazy. I have installed and reinstalled. Downloaded co-pilot. Nothing sticks. I hope they fix it fast too. I have to take screenshots of my finances and shopping lists and then input them into my laptop. Please fix!
