      Yes it's in the file I attached. I used & to join all 4 letters into 1 cell and then did a lookup on that value in the other table.

      I used INDEX MATCH for the lookup. The MATCH part works out which row has a match, then the INDEX part brings back the corresponding Name from that row.

        Thanks - just thinking the sequence of the letters will be random so I need the formula to work with any sequence. Can you help?
