Thanks a lot for your reply. Seems like some others experienced the same issue. I could unfortunately not solve the problem using the hints/ work arounds described. I'll write a message via File> Feedback

I checked your file again andtried to spell Thuringia in the English and German version. Nevertheless Excel does either not accept the location or does locate it somewhere in Austria.

  Do you mean if you open the Riny_van_Eekelen file, no changes, and it doesn't show Thuringia?

    Unfortunately yes. I tried to copy the list in my own Excel sheet, but Excel could again not located Thuringia. Using the German word Thüringen instead doesn't work either, as an Austrian municipality shows up instead.
