Excel converting colon separated numbers to time
Thank you. I brought that suggestion to our IT manager and he pointed out that change would affect all Excel files. But it only affects files created after yesterday. We have a file from 30 September and the column is displaying correctly. This cell is not supposed to display the time. It's only supposed to display the duration of the call in hours:minutes:seconds.
Can you post a recent screenshot where the formula bar doesn't show AM/PM for a time value?

Jimbo75 sent me a screenshot. I have never seen times in the formula bar of Excel displayed in different formats on the same computer - does anyone else have an explanation?
- I do not have an explanation, unless the value on the left is formatted as Text and Jimbo75's version of Excel is not making that obvious (by displaying a leading tick mark in the formula bar). But it looks like someone has reformatted another part of the report content -- note the different date formatting between the two reports in lines 2 and 3.
