excel, cell value in entire column reduce by 4 digits
Column of 12 digit values, reduce entire column by 4 digits, in this case eliminate the 4 zeroes from 12 digit so they become 8 digit numbers
12 digit ex 102342180000 remove the four 0000 to the right, tried =right
(A1,8) , this worked but the cell then has the formula imbeded. How to remove the formula? Note last had excel in 2008 at a job, just purchased Microsoft 365 for home, big differences. Thank you for helping.

As an alternative, you could Copy the column with the LEFT formula (I presume) and Paste it onto itself As Values.
