Excel 365 + macOS - changing separator !
There is simply no way to successfully change separator in MS Excel on macOS.
I want to have my numbers formatted like that: 1.000.000,01. And I cannot do that for years on macOS, and it is so easy using Windows.
I tried everything - change system advanced settings, even set MS Excel as an exception - for using another - native language, and I get "(" as a separator? What is "("? And who in the world uses it as a separator?
MS Excel is a 365 version, macOS is current too, so everything is up-to-date.
Why the preferences menu on macOS is so poor compared to windows?
From what I know the Excel 1.0 was released on Mac's in 1985, so it is even older than Windows, 🙂 so I don't really understand why the Microsoft treats macOS users as a second class priority.
Come on Microsoft you are one of the largest companies in the world, MS Office is one of your main products, you really can improve a lot here.

Biuro Well, a Mac differs quite a bit from a PC. But you can certainly set the list separator and decimal symbol in MacOS. It's not in any way more difficult than on a PC.
Apple symbol (top left)
System Preferences...
Language & Region
Advanced...
On the General tab, set the grouping and decimal symbols as you desire for both numbers and the currency format. Press OK
Close the settings window.
Restart Excel in case you had it open.
