Excel - simple subtraction -
I am basically new to Excel, so bare with me. SUM totals work fine. Subtractions are not working.
At top of C4 I have the total quantity of 200. periodically a number should be subtracted so I have a TOTAL at bottom of column (say C25) that shows a balance of 87 because of the numbers I am inputting should be subtracting not adding.
Just need this subtraction to work for a single, simple column, not the whole sheet.
Taking a class real soon - but need to get this simple formula working asap.

- Are the numbers in the column that need to be subtracted negative?
I did not make them negative, but yes....they are all supposed to be subtracted from the beginning number of 200.
total showing on line C25 should reflect 87
