Dropdown list with hyperlink to local file

Hello,

I want to create a dropdown list with hyperlinks to local files. At the moment, it works fine if the hyperlink is taking me to a website, but if I want to open a file by selecting an option in the dropdown list, there's a message telling me it can't open that file.

Any suggestions please?
