Dialing a VoIP phone from Excel

I'd like to click on a phone number cell in Excel and have that number sent to my Polycom IP 550 and dialed. The PC and phone are connected via ethernet (Peer to Peer). Looking for help on this... Is there a feature I'm missing, or a macro or VB script I can create? Is there any support documentation to accomplish? Thank you!
