copy&paste an internet link on excel spreadsheet

how can i copypaste an internet link on an excel cell? it used to work and now it doesn't work

    Hey, you can paste links in cells by either pressing CTRL+K, or selecting the paste option via right click in the respective cell. Hope it helps.

      unfortunately both ways suggested dont work, dont know why...

      seems that one way to make it work is using insert+link, but quite cumbersome...
