Converting From Open Office

I am converting a spreadsheet from OpenOffice to Excel. OpenOffice has a window in its "ribbon"  that allows you to enter a term and the program will "find" the next cell with that term and then let you find the next entry of it, and so on.  Excell has a find function and a search function, but they have more steps and are more complicated. Am I missing something simple in Excel that does the same thing?

    I'm not familiar with OpenOffice. Just to note in Excel not too many steps to find the cell(s) with the value

      thanks for ctrl-f . It’s a lot more complicated to use than OpenOffice’s find which is box on the “ribbon.” Admittedly, the Excel one gives you more options, but I want simple.

I am converting a spreadsheet from OpenOffice to Excel. thanks for ctrl-f . It’s a lot more complicated to use than OpenOffice’s find which is box on the “ribbon.” Admittedly, the Excel one gives you more options, but I want simple.
