Conditional highlighting

Hello,

 

I am not very well versed with Excel so please bear with me.

 

I have a training matrix with a lot of columns and would like the cells with expired dates to highlight red without highlighting the empty cells or D.O.T. cells. 

 

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Beverly,

     

    Please find the solution in the attached file.

    I've used this formula in the conditional formatting rule:

    =AND(ISNUMBER(A2),OFFSET(A$1,0,0)="EXPIRY")

    It's applied to range $A$2:$L$14.
