Combining Dynamic Table with Manual inputs
Hi all
Happy New Year.
Hope you can advise.
I have a dynamic table within excel using the FILTER() function. Lets say this is columns A-E. What I would like to do is have a manual field next to each row of this table in column F.
This row would enable comments to be added against the table rows. However, if the table changes, is there anyway of ensuring these comments in the manual entry cell follow the correct row in the dynamic table?
Happy to consider Macros as dont think this is possible with formulas only. I cannot use the source table as this is imported from another workbook allowing users to add their own comments individually on the local workbook
Attached is a sample of what I mean.
Any help much appreciated
I'd enter the comments in another range, against the IDs.
You can then use XLOOKUP to display the comments to the right of the dynamic range.
See the attached version.

Thanks HansVogelaar
This could work but I also have a "tick" column so the user can mark rows completed.
The relevant rows then are striked through.
Your method is possible for this but also not as simple than just "ticking" off.
Is there any other method save adding another table?

I think you do need a separate range. The attached version contains a different suggestion.
