Column labels became numbers instead of letters
I reinstalled office 365, and Excel now shows numbers for columns rather than letters. Is this optional? Tom

It does look like the active cell is in a table

So maybe it is in a table... It doesn't make any difference where I click on te page, the headers remain. So the issue remains, what do I have to do to fix it? It's a pain in the bum like it is!

The only way that I know of to suppress this behavior is not to display the header row at all.
Click anywhere in the table.
Activate the Table Design tab of the ribbon.
In the Table Style Options group, clear the check box Header Row.

Clearing Header Row on the Table Design tab of the ribbon does not hide the column header letters A, B, C, etc. It hides the header row of the table.
