Check box issues: same document on different iMacs

I have an excisting Excel file with check boxes in it. Installed Office on a new iMac at the office and want to work on this oparticular Excel file. However the check boxes that work perfectly on all the other Macs, don't work on this one.... If finally I'm able to use a check box, others are not useable...

What is wrong?
