charcoal/dark background in Excel 2011/Office 365

I do not like the "new" dark background color scheme (grays and charcoal). How can I switch it back to the green ledger background colors?

If you are on Windows:

  • Select File > Options
  • Under 'Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office', select Colorful from the 'Office Theme' drop down.
  • Click OK.

If you are on Mac:

  • Click the Excel menu and select Preferences.
  • Select General.
  • Under Personalize, select Colorful from the Office Theme drop down.
