Change default comma style formatting
After yet another one of the lovely Office updates my excel Comma formatting changed. Now when I click on the comma to format a column of numbers, instead of putting my negative figures into brackets, it puts a minus in front, but with a massive gap between the number and the minus.
So now I have to CONSTANTLY change the format of the numbers.
Is there no way I can change the default setting of what happens when I click on the Comma? Before this thing drives me bonkers?

Hello!
Did you (or anyone else) find a permanent solution to this? I'm surprised this hasn't driven more people bonkers because this is driving me nuts too. I've always been used to seeing negative numbers in brackets with the correct alignment. This new Excel update (whenever it happened) has absolutely butchered this...
The keyword here is "permanent" please if anyone has a solution...

This actually did help. Unfortunately the change only stays while excel is open. Once you close it, it reverts back to the old setting and you have to do it all over again.
So now if I can just figure out how to make that change stick, I'll be golden!
But thank you!

Go to the XLSTART folder through this path:
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\
And check out if there is any file with the extension of (*.xlt) or (*.xltx), then delete it.
