Cell size
I merged two spreadsheets and now I'm trying to sort the cells but get the reply "to do this, all merged cells need to be the same size" How can I make all cells to be the same size ?
Short answer - never use merged cell, the point.
Same effect will be if you use Center Across Selection (Ctrl+1, Alignment, Horizontal).
Sorting is only one of many potential issues which you may have with merged cells.
