Bind dynamic table with external data
Hi! I need to bind dynamic table with external data. I want to do some filters to the dynamic table, but when I do it, the external data doesn't move (yellow is the dynamic table, green is the exter...
The yellow one is a dynamic table, created with a data base and the green one are data that I organiced/add, like contact information
For this to work here is what is needed:
For both tables, follow these steps:
- From the Data tab, click "From Table/Range"
- In the PQ editor, click the Close & Load drop down and choose Close & load to
- Select "Only create Connection"
- On the Data Tab, click Get Data, Combine Queries, Merge
- In the next dialog, make sure you select each table in the relevant drop-downs
- Click on the Rut column in both previews to indicate this is the link between both tables
- Click "OK"
- In the next view, find the column which is named the same as the second table. It should have an "Expand" button:
- Click it to get the data from the second table next to the first one.
- Click Close & Load to and let it load to where you want the combined table to appear.
This table can be filtered and sorted. Data is to be entered in the original second table.
