Autocomplete not working (Excel, Office online)

I'm using the web version of Office, and my auto complete for Excel is sometimes on,, sometimes off (I probably do something inadvertently to turn it off). I'd like it on, and "help" tells me to check File, Options, Advanced, but my only option is "regional format setting" (I'm in Japan). I'd appreciate any guidance-- thank you.
