365 Excel Date Format

I am operating Excel 365 on a Sharepoint site.

When I change the date format to the way I want it to look it works until I log off and then back on. It then reverts to the default format, which I don't want.

I don't know how many times I have tried to change this default but it never works.

Any ideas?
