.xlfn when using =FORMULATEXT on excel 2016

Question

Hello all,&nbsp;I’m using Microsoft excel 2016.&nbsp;I have used the FORMULATEXT function to show the formulas in row a as text in row b.&nbsp;For some reason every time I open the file a “.xlfn_” is added before the “formulatext”.&nbsp;I’ve googled it and found out that this happens when someone is using a lower version of excel that dose not support this formula, but I’m using only 2016 version.&nbsp;Please advise.-----Gai Golan, CPA (isr),&nbsp;CDM&nbsp;implementer

how can i find the other name ?when i use the FORMULATEXT it works, but when i close the file and reopen it i get the .xllfn_

Here is the formula translator&nbsp;https://en.excel-translator.de/translator/ if it supports your version.

Another option is to open this&nbsp;https://support.office.com/en-us/article/formulatext-function-0a786771-54fd-4ae2-96ee-09cda35439c8 support article (English US) and in very left bottom of the page to change the language - it will show the same article in selected language.

_xlfn. is displayed when the function is not supported by your version of the Excel&nbsp;https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/issue-an-xlfn-prefix-is-displayed-in-front-of-a-formula-882f1ef7-68fb-4fcd-8d54-9fbb77fd5025. Since you are on Excel 2016 most probably that's the localization, i.e. in your local version the function has another name.
