IE Mode - "marquee" html tag freezes the Edge browser

Hello Team,

The Edge version is : Version 81.0.416.72 (Official build) (64-bit)

Issue:

  1. If on a webpage, a scrolling marquee exist, the other web-controls like text-box, hyperlinks and the button clicks do not work and sometimes it freezes the web-page. This occurs when the IE mode for the website is enabled. Therefore, this causes the edge browser to crash sometime or the only workaround is not to open the web-pages where the "marquee" tag is used.
  2. Secondly, when a user click on a hyperlink, the link is displayed in the title-bar of the tab. This occurs occasionally and upon refreshing the newly opened window, the correct Title is displayed from the title tag.

How to reproduce:

Add any website (Intranet or Internet) to the IE mode and observe the behavior.

I am attaching herewith the video which clearly shows this behavior:

Left side: The marquee with IE Mode which displays the scrolling text is not smooth and pauses in-between. And if some other HTML controls exist, the user cannot use those.

Right side: The marquee text scrolls smoothly, when no ie-mode is configured.

@josh_bodner, Thanks in advance for your quick help on this.
