Workspace Icon missing
What version of edge are you using? Public? Beta? Dev? Canary?
If you are using the latest Canary Version 138.0.3351.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit), then you will find a little v in the upper left of your browser as seen in this screenshot.
There you will find Workspace.

The v does not show up unless you're using vertical tabs. I don't do vertical tabs because I am not used to it. Whatever the recent update was, it screwed things up. Workspaces does not show up in settings, nor does it show up anywhere unless you're using vertical tabs. And even then, you still cannot pin the Workspaces button to the toolbar.
O!!!! I thought I was the only one who is suffering .. this is the problem with Microsoft. They will make us addicted to something and remove that once we become used to . 🤯

I have the following version. Hopefully the official build for the public.

You should have the same in yours as these are the same versions.

I have explore these suggestions. Below is the appearance of tool bar settings
And below is the screenshot of the IE window. I couldn't see the workspace icon here and the "Show workspace" option in the obove.
